hotboxed thongs are now available in our online store. These will be popular items, with a price like $7.99 you can’t go wrong. Nothing splits your butt cheeks better than a nice white thong with the words “hotboxed” right where it counts. Please click on the “store” link and have a look.

Your efforts for hotboxed in the featured artist poll are greatly appreciated, I am very happy with the results as we are now in second place. -- The message board has been updated to include a search engine and a new way of sorting the posts, you will notice the subject with the newest post goes to the top of the list. This combined with the search engine will make it easier to keep up to date on the chatter. Thank you to Chris from Relent For No One for the hard work.

The final word on the show in The Dalles seems to be that it will be held on December 20th sorry for the confusion, hopefully this will be the last time it’s rescheduled. -- We have hoped on this year’s metal fest in Madras, there will be more info on that show as soon as I get it.

hotboxed online was down for a few days as we were having domain name problems. Obviously things are back to normal again, I thank you for you patience with us.

There has been a change in plans for the show in The Dalles. Our favorite Mexican from pando productions has decided that it would be better to have the show on November 23rd so adjust your schedules accordingly. The full lineup for this show is still being determined and we hope Relent For No One will be traveling to our home town with us in November.

The Hoop show was a disaster as expected, many bands were there all day to find out that it was completely unorganized and that they would not get to play. We left the show to give up time to some other bands but it seems that the show ended shortly after we left. I don’t think that the Portland music scene will tolerate this kind of disrespect. Please anyone that doesn’t want to put up with this kind of shit let this company know they aren’t welcome here. Go to www.syztemrecords.com and send your emails.

The first system tour show was interesting to say the least. I just want to thank the people that did stay that late to check it out. Next up is September 14th at The Hoop. -- Looks like we are going to be playing The Dalles in October, more details soon.

It was really great to see DIJ back in business at the Meow Meow, and we were honored to be apart of their rebirth. -- There is a message board up now for those of you who would like to speak your mind. Just go to the “speak” link. Thanks to Chris from Relent For No One for hosting the message board.

Great times were had in white salmon, the sun was out and the clothes were off. The tent style circus freak show was in full effect this year. Its hard to believe you can have that kind of fun in a town like white salmon, regardless thanks to the townsfolk and fans that let us destroy a wedding in progress and rock the socks off the dog walkers. Thank you relent, dyslogic, for coming down and letting us borrow some equipment. I have posted a couple pics from the White Salmon show in the live pics section and also something funny in the other pics section. -- Next show is at the Meow Meow on August 22nd.
7-14-02
Happy Gnome played their first show in Portland last night, I would just like to say they rocked the shit. We are all looking forward to playing another show with them soon. -- Pictures from the show on the 28th as well as more shows will be posted soon.

The show in The Dalles on Friday will never be forgotten. It was really great to be home, and like Ryan said, “no matter where anyone says we are from, The Dalles will always be our home.” Thanks to all of you for making it a great one.
5-21-02
hotboxed unfortunately didn’t place at the battle of the bands in Monmoth. We had a great time. “There aint no Willie like a backseat Willie, cause the backseat Willie don’t front.” Need I say more? Thanks bands for the good performances.

hotboxed is now practicing in a storage facility in Beaverton. We have 24-hour access to the 10x20 space and are planning on stepping up the practice schedule to 3 days a week. This is going to expedite the writing process for the new album. -- The band is set to play a battle of the bands in Monmoth at the Western Oregon University on Saturday the 18th of May. Stay tuned to see how we placed in the event.

Unfortunately I have just gotten word that Sate won’t be playing the show at the Paris on June 28th. Any other changes in that lineup will be posted as soon as they come to me.

Thank you Hood River. It’s nice to be close to home. There was an excellent crowd at Club Rio. These kids pulled off the biggest continuous mosh pit we have seen. It’s going to be hard to top that kind of energy. This is defiantly a show we won’t forget and we would like to thank The Nakked Truth and The Dead Poets Society for helping pay for the venue and making it all possible, and once again the kids from Hood River, White Salmon, and The Dalles. We hope to play this venue again soon. -- Next stop in The Dalles. Start spreading the word.

We are still working on new material and have a new song to add to our set list. The new material seems to be just as heavy as the old but with a bit more substance in the musical aspect as well as the lyrics, witch are coming out nicely. -- If you want to see hotboxed you have a few chances to see them in the upcoming months. April 19 in Hood River is the next stop for the band before they go home to The Dalles for a show on May 31. There is a show in the works here in Portland as well. It looks like it’s going to include SYX, Sate, and Relent For No One. hotboxed will play less shows but are going to be very busy working on the first independent album.

We have started the task of finding a new jam room in the Portland area. We are thinking of renting a storage unit to practice in but we have to find a place that will let us. -- We have 2 shows coming up, one in Hood River and another in The Dalles. After those shows we are going to spend allot of time working on new material. We are discussing putting out an album with new songs and revised old songs. We plan on coming back with a set full of surprises.

hotboxed’s first show in Salem went off well. The Triangle was a great place to play. Ryan got a little to hammered for his own good, and I don't think he is getting laid tonight. And you know what that means. Anyways thanks bands and fans, we will be seeing Salem again soon.
2-23-02
The show at the Time and Again Ballroom was a blast! Thanks to the fans in St. Helens and the bands that helped rock the place. We look forward to coming back soon, defiantly one of the better crowds we have played for.

Jason, beeni and his cousin Josh were all involved in an accident that was a result of a high-speed pursuit. They are all ok. Just minor pains and strains. This happened yesterday after coming home from practice in The Dalles and dropping off Joe in Gresham. We were on our way to Beaverton and Just when the light turned green we were smashed by a mustang going about 50 mph. The van was tossed about 30 feet or so and my seat broke. The bitch driving the car was trying to steal food from Safeway and she was eluding the police because of it. Some of you may have already seen it on the news. If not go ahead and check the full story out here. In spite of our totaled van hotboxed will still play tonight at the Paris Theatre.
